Tim is a Dutch attorney engaged by Context in large, complex losses where legal positioning is decisive alongside the factual investigation. He supports the team in structuring the file, assessing liability and recovery options, safeguarding limitation and procedural time bars, and setting a clear litigation and settlement strategy. His work spans property damage, business interruption and (international) transport and logistics matters, as well as liability-driven cases including product liability and claims with a bodily injury component. Contractual terms, policy coverage, defences and evidentiary strength are assessed in conjunction. Tim works closely with Context’s experts and translates technical findings into a legally coherent position towards counterparties, insurers and—where required—the courts.

Outside work, Tim can often be found on the water. Sailing is a regular fixture for him: staying ahead of changing conditions, keeping a steady course and making decisions with incomplete information - skills that translate naturally to complex claims environments.
